St Patrick’s College is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition and reaches out to all boys and their families who will respect the Catholic philosophy of the College. We believe that we exist to offer boys an opportunity to hear the Gospel message of Jesus, to embrace the values of such a life and to accept the challenge of living out that message in service as part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the contemporary world.

Students of St Patrick’s express their faith through service to others and participation in liturgy and prayer and the study of religious education at all year levels. Each year students raise over $40,000 through the annual Edmund Rice Day Walkathon to distribute to charities aligned with our mission. The College has a nationally recognised and acclaimed Indigenous Education Programme and the nation’s oldest school-based St Vincent de Paul Society. As part of the Year 9 Programme students undertake community service work to support marginalised families in the region as well as responding to natural disasters and other events that cause distress within families or the community. Even beyond the College gates old boys regularly travel to Africa to work alongside Christian Brothers with children ravaged by poverty and disease.

Our staff and students are exemplars of our faith and reinforce on a daily basis that St Patrick’s College is first and foremost a Catholic school for boys guided in all that we do by the teachings of Jesus of the Gospels.
