Where are they now – Jordan Lauton (SPC 2015-2020)
September 4, 2024
The College recently reconnected with Old Collegian Jordan Lauton (SPC 2015-2020) who is showcasing his incredible soccer talent with Western United after signing his first professional A-League contract earlier this year.
Where has life taken you since leaving SPC?
After SPC I started playing at Western United for three years in the soccer Academy where I signed my first professional contract in 2024. During this time I started my studies at Fed Uni where I am currently studying civil engineering.
Editor’s note – Jordan has been signed to Western United as part of a “dynamic young core that the club is developing as it aims to strengthen its future prospects in professional football”.
During his time at SPC, Jordan was nominated for the Olympic Change-Maker Award in his final year for his sporting prowess.
What are your fondest memories of your time at St Patrick’s College?
My fondest memories of SPC were just seeing my mates every day which was something I didn’t realise was really important until after school.
Which teacher from your time at SPC had the greatest impact on you? Why?
Mr (Howard) Clark had the biggest impact on me just because of the way he supported students, you could go to him with anything and he would listen.
How has your education shaped your professional life?
Education is important for my professional life as it gave me structure and helped drive me in achieving goals for the future.
How has your time at SPC shaped your personal values and your family life?
SPC helped to give me a solid foundation of values which I use every day, even if I don’t realise I use them.
If you could pass on one message to the students of today, what would it be?
Enjoy your time with your mates because you never realise how important it is to be with them.
