2015 Father’s Day Festivities
September 6, 2015
The College was delighted to host around 400 people at its annual Fathers Day Mass and Breakfast on Friday, September 4.
The morning started with a solemn Mass in the College Chapel celebrated by Chaplain Fr James Kerr.
Fr James reminded all in attendance of the crucial role a strong father figure plays in the growth of a young man’s life and implored all in attendance to take some time to think about the values and virtues their fathers had installed in them from an early age.
Following the service all adjoured to the OCA Pavilion to enjoy a stand-up breakfast and to mingle with other students and the fathers.
Headmaster Mr John Crowley commented that it was fantastic to see so many grandfathers take the opportunity to attend as well.
Attendees were asked to make a gold coin donation upon entering the OCA Pavilion and all money raised from the event will be donated to the White Ribbon Foundation, which aims to stamp out domestic violence.
