Introduction of On Guard Safety into Technology

As a means of supporting safe work practice in the Technology Faculty this year students have been/ will be introduced to a new online occupational health and safety training system, On Guard Safety.

On Guard Safety provides students with the key knowledge required to safely carry out practical tasks as part of their learning in Technology. The system has been designed to provide online access to specially designed training sessions for many different tools and workshop/ workplace situations. Each learning session features text based content and -‘knowledge consolidation’ (a test).

The program can be accessed through a link placed in -‘Learning Areas’ on the school web site. We trust students enjoy the online learning experience and that they are able to share it with family members whilst completing tasks at home.
