Combined College Production

Rehearsals for the Combined College Production of -Les Miserables- are well and truly underway again following the school holidays. Everyone involved in the production has been working extremely hard and are very excited to be only one month away from Opening Night. Les Miserables -“ School Edition will be performed at the Mary’s Mount Centre at Loreto College on Wednesday June 1, Thursday June 2, Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4 at 7:30pm.

Make sure you get in early and book tickets as they are bound to sell quickly!

Round Two -“ DAV Debating

On Wednesday April 20, the students involved in our Public Speaking and Debating program participated in Round Two of the Ballarat Regional Competitions. The boys were very well prepared following on from impressive starts in Round One last term and had some great success on the night with wins across all three grades.

Our Year 12 team featuring Liam O’Shea, David O’Doherty, James Parini and Brad Dwyer won their second debate in a row to remain in equal first place in the VCE Grade. Our Year 10 team featuring Oscar Grigg, Ryan Mulheron and Xavier O’Shea also had their second win of the competition and are in equal first place of C Grade while St Patrick’s College 1 and St Patrick’s College 3 both sit undefeated in equal first place in D Grade. Congratulations to all of the boys who have participated in the competition, in particular the Year 7 students who have made a fantastic start to the competition in their first debates. Well done boys. Thank you to all of the coaches whose efforts has seen the boys achieve such excellent results.
