Success at the National Band Championships

During the Easter weekend Brass Bands and Concerts Band converged on Melbourne to compete in the annual National Band Championships. Thomas Latrobe (Yr 9), Harry Graham (Yr 9) and Benjamin Gray (Yr 10) as members of the Creswick Youth Brass Band competed in the junior section. The section consisted of bands from regional and metropolitan towns and cities predominantly from New South Wales and Victoria.- The competition was fierce and it was exciting to learn that Creswick Youth Brass Band gained second place.

Congratulations must also go to Mrs. Katrina Bird for her outstanding work with the boys. It must also be mentioned that Mrs. Bird as conductor of the Creswick Senior Brass Band won the Open -‘D’ Grade Section.
