Applied Learning Program Update
We are looking forward to our final couple of events for this year; the Christmas PaddyMart and the launch here at St Pat’s, of the caravan which the boys have been working on with Loreto College VCAL students.
I must say the students at Loreto have done a fine job in creating an on-trend interior and accessories for the -HUNTER- Caravan. As well as inviting us over to Loreto for a lovely morning tea, the ribbon cutting and the very brief speeches (always good when boys are waiting for their egg and bacon rolls). We were very appreciative of the trouble the girls took to make us all welcome. We are pleased to congratulate Ms Jill Wheatland and her team in the development of the Hunter as a future pop up shop venue.
Our St Pat’s launch will be a little more low key, however it provides a very satisfying conclusion to the year – long Caravan restoration. Once again I acknowledge the leadership of Claude Procaccino, and the highly valued assistance of our Technology assistants, Russ and Ryan.
We are hoping that we will hold this event on November 12, coincidentally, the date of the Applied Learning Program Year 11 EXAM DAY. I’m sure the boys will welcome the planning and delivery of the St Pat’s Caravan launch as a practical task which will form one of their exam tasks.
All families will have received a letter confirming significant dates in Applied Learning.
Long Weekend for all students November 5 and 6

Year 11 finish November 27 after Headstart, which is compulsory for all boys joining us or continuing into Year 12, as we will be starting our Senior VCAL Certificate at this time.
