St Patrick’s College Middle School program
The St Patrick’s College Middle School aims to be a significant and positive experience in the life of the Year 9 boys in our care. We acknowledge the special needs of adolescents and strive to provide opportunities for each student to become an independent and active learner through rich and innovative curriculum, a curriculum that awakens and stimulates the intelligence.
We aim to maintain and enhance student enthusiasm for learning by means of an open and user-friendly curriculum. We foster the concept of a mental and physical new start and encourage student involvement whenever possible.
The Middle School Pastoral Care Program picks up the key tenets of the journey from boyhood to manhood. The ‘Rite Journey’ program engages the senses, acknowledges the challenges inherent in the adolescent years and provides an ideal platform to support boys in making their transition to senior school. The highly-acclaimed program is relational, practical and provides students with experiences compatible with the challenges of adolescence whilst fostering our boys’ life-long learning skills.
The current Director of the Middle School is Ms Karina Dunne.
