2020 Pastoral Care Program: Information for Parents
Year 7 Mentoring Program
This week saw the commencement of a mentoring program for our Year 7 students. This program sees a group of student leaders who are passionate about student wellbeing meet with our Year 7 boys in small break out groups – having discussions about school experiences and to reinforce the ideas of protective factors and strategies in regards to wellbeing and positive mental health. This program will occur once per fortnight, with two Year 7 Pastoral Care Groups being mentored in each session. The students in 7A and 7B have experienced this mentoring program this week.
Respect – new program
This term will see the implementation of a school-wide pastoral care program over a number of sessions in regards to the notion of respect.
This will include:
– Students developing and having respect for college property, grounds, environment and community
– Students developing and having respect for all students
– Students developing and having espect for all staff members
– Students developing and having respect for women
Please support the College by encouraging an open dialogue at home with your sons in terms of the importance of respect, in every aspect of their schooling lives.

I would encourage all students and parents to fully engage and participate in all of our wellbeing programs on offer, as they are an integral element of our broader mission to educate the whole person.
Kind regards,
Bradley Murray
