New 2020 senior football jumper revealed

A key part of SPC football history has been the presentation of the 1^st XVIII guernsey to those who qualify by playing five games each year..

Like so many things in 2020 this has not been possible as the football season has been curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our graduating Year 12 students have been robbed of the chance to earn their 1^st XVIII jumper through no fault of their own.

However, we did not think it would be fair to see them leave empty handed.

As such, the College asked some of the senior Year 12 footballers to design a special, one-of-a-kind jumper which will be presented at the end of the year as a memento of the 2020 senior football season.

Our football coaches will determine those who will receive the jumper based on their contribution to the football program not just in 2020, but throughout their time at the College.

The unique design features elements of both the modern, familiar 1^st XVIII jumper while also encompassing aspects, such as the SPC wording, from the 1^st XVIII jumper from 100 years ago. Of course, it still retains the iconic long sleeves!

We love the design and believe the students fortunate enough to receive one this year will have a keepsake for the rest of their lives.
