Isaac Lund (SPC 2010-13, PY2015)
March 15, 2021
It is with much sadness that we were informed of the tragic passing of Isaac Lund (SPC 2010-13, PY2015), who was killed in a car accident in Margaret River, Western Australia late on Thursday night, March 11, 2021. It was a single car accident and Isaac was the only person in the vehicle.
Isaac attended St Patrick’s College from Year 7 to Year 10 before leaving in 2013 to pursue an apprenticeship. Isaac had been working in Western Australia for the past two years on gold mines, firstly in Kalgoorlie and then in Perth. He had been working across the bore fields maintaining generators and pumping stations.
We ask you to keep Isaac and his parents in your thoughts and prayers. A celebration of Isaac’s life was held at Donegan’s Farm, Butter Factory Road, Wallace at 2pm on Friday 26th March.
During his time at SPC, Isaac was part of the soccer team and played in the 2012 intermediate BAS competition. He finished second in the MVP honours by showing “great skill in the midfield and up front during the competition”. Isaac also finished first in the Junior B Division team in the BAS Cross Country competition and was a member of the 2010 Concert Band.
Family tributes described Isaac as a “lovely young fella” who loved travelling and was a talented musician and BMX rider. Isaac and his father Dan had been involved in father-and-son project GenerAide to deliver generators to small, remote communities in Timor-Leste.
