KRC Update

I am pleased to announce that Ms Ingrid Perkins will be taking over the role as Acting Director of Library and Information Services in my absence while I take 12 months Long Service Leave. Ingrid has a wealth of both teaching and library knowledge and will lead the library team throughout my absence. She knows the library well as she has been the Assistant Director for the past 2.5 years.
The last few weeks have seen us very busy in our support of teaching and learning in the classrooms and library spaces. We have been able to create visual displays to provide vital prompts for learning in several classroom spaces. Teachers and students can use these poster prompts to initiate prior learning and discussions for future classes. The visual is a great reinforcement tool as boys discuss the posters; using metalanguage pertaining to each new area/ topic of study is another opportunity to consolidate learning.
