Patrick Broughan (SPC 1969-74)

We were notified by family of the sad passing of Old Collegian Patrick Broughan (SPC 1969-74) on 5 August 2023 following a 10-year health battle.

Patrick was a boarder at SPC from Euroa in north-east Victoria and started in Form 1 in 1969 and completed his matriculation in 1974, winning a Maths Prize in Form 5.

Patrick enjoyed music and was a member of the Junior Band and the Senior Brass Band at SPC.

We send our condolences to Patrick’s family, including his son Matthew, who reflected that his father enjoyed “keeping a watch over all things SPC”.

Patrick’s funeral was held at the Diamond Creek Chapel in Diamond Creek, Victoria.

Patrick was a member of the SPC Senior Brass Band, as pictured in the 1970 College Annual.

Patrick enjoyed the band and was a member of the junior band at SPC.

Patrick joined St Pat’s in 1969 as a boarder from Euroa.
