Stephen Gilders (SPC 1960-63)

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Old Collegian Stephen Gilders (SPC 1960-63), who passed away recently after succumbing to Parkinsons Disease in Perth.

Stephen was a day student along with his brothers Frank (SPC 1962, PY1963) and Hayden (SPC 1968, PY1973).

Stephen was active in sport at SPC, particularly athletics where he excelled and often finished first in his age group in the school sprints and the cross country. Stephen was also involved in cricket and football at SPC.

He started in First Year and completed his proficiency certificate.

In tributes, Stephen was also remembered for his involvement as an “Old Eastie, YCW (and) CYC”.
