Mario Paul Citta (SPC 1978-83)

We are saddened to hear of the passing of former day student Mario Paul Citta (SPC 1978-83) who passed away on 17 July 2023.

A Requiem Mass was held at St Alipius Church in Ballarat on 10 August and was the son of Salvatore and Paolo Citta, brother to Giovanna, Sylvia, Sandra and father of Isabella.

In moving tributes, Mario was remembered as “fun loving, jovial, funny and a boisterous nature mixed with intelligence and kindness”.

Another family friend said of Mario – “we’ll always remember your incredible passion for a fairer world – a world without racism, prejudice and greed. Likewise, we’ll never forget your generosity and kindness. We’ll forever remember you as that charismatic, larger-than-life world traveller – the life of the party”.
