SPC students feature at Anzac parade

St Patrick’s College had a strong and impressive presence at the City of Ballarat Anzac Day march and memorial service at the weekend.

Members of the College Marching Band took centre stage by leading the march along Sturt St past the Cenotaph.

The recognition of the crowd that was extended to our young men is something they will never forget.

Furthermore the reaction of the boys when WW2 Veterans made their way over to thank them for leading their march was breathtaking.

The march was followed by a wreath laying ceremony at which College Captain Kelsey Gannon was joined by his Vice Captain James McKinnon to lay a wreath on behalf of the whole College community.

It was also pleasing to see a number of Old Collegians at the service, some of whom were also involved in the wreath laying ceremony on behalf of other organisations.

Current boarders were also in attendance at the Dawn Service which was held at the Arch of Victory on Saturday morning.
