History

Opening our doors in 1893, St Patrick’s College has a rich history that connects us to the past and lays a strong foundation for the future.

St Patrick’s College is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys, founded by the Christian Brothers in 1893.

From our humble beginnings of an initial enrolment of 15 boarders and nine day students, the College now welcomes about 1300 students through its gates each day.

Educating boys from Years 7-12, we pride ourselves on our strong tradition of academic and sporting excellence, as well as our state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Ballarat.
