Steven is an experienced leader in education and commenced as Principal of St Patrick’s College in January, 2021. Previously, Steven has held various senior positions including Deputy Principal at Santa Sabina College in Sydney, Head of College/CEO at All Saints’ College in Bathurst, Principal/CEO at Trinity Anglican College in Albury-Wodonga, and Deputy Principal at Thomas Carr College in Tarneit. He complements his leadership experience with a strong academic record having a Master of Education (Education Administration) from Charles Sturt University; Master of Letters (History) from University of New England; Bachelor of Arts/Diploma of Education from the University of New England; and Diploma of RE (Catholic Schools) from Charles Sturt University.
Carol joined us from Ballarat Clarendon College in 2022 and is an influential, experienced leader and boys’ educator. Prior to her time at Ballarat Clarendon College, Carol worked in Catholic boys’ education in both Sydney and Adelaide. With more than 25 years of experience as a teacher, Carol has demonstrated a deep knowledge of and commitment to evidence-based practice in education. She is passionate about best practice in teaching and learning, always striving to enhance educational experiences for young people. Carol holds a Bachelor of Teaching (Honours) and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Melbourne and has recently completed postgraduate studies in Theology at the Australian Catholic University, earning a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education. She has also furthered her qualifications with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, making her a qualified VET trainer and assessor.
John joined St Patrick’s College staff in 2006 and has since filled a variety of leadership roles at the College, including Head of Junior School, Director of Junior School and Acting Deputy Head Master. John has taught in both primary and secondary settings across the Diocese of Ballarat, commencing his teaching career in the Sunraysia region of Victoria. John has been a senior leader in schools including a principalship at St Joseph’s School, Ouyen and a Deputy Principalship at Lumen Christi Primary School Delacombe. A teacher of more than 30 years’ experience, he has taught every year level from Prep to Year 12. An old boy of St Patrick’s College, John holds a Diploma of Teaching and a Bachelor of Education Degree. He has a deep belief in the transformative power of education to guide young people to be productive members of society.
Andrew commenced as the College’s Business Manager in July 2023, but has been part of the St Pat’s community for more than 40 years having started as a boarder in 1980. Andrew is experienced in financial leadership, people management, financial and tax accounting, board reporting and communication, as well as strategy, mergers, acquisitions and integration. He has worked in a broad range of industries and holds a Bachelor of Business and a Masters of Taxation (both from RMIT University) an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture from the Australian Catholic University.
Jamie is a dedicated and driven Human Resource, Risk and Compliance (GRC) professional with extensive leadership experience in Human Resources practice, Emergency Management, Operations, Health and Safety, Risk, Compliance and Auditing.
Jamie brings broad practical experience to St Patrick’s from a decorated career at Victoria Police, educational leadership at the College, and consulting across Australia in educational risk, compliance and excursion risk, and emergency management.
Jamie has formal qualifications in Human Resources, OH&S, Risk Management, Emergency Management and Corporate Governance and Compliance.
Jamie is passionate about providing a safe working environment for our staff, students and the wider St Patrick’s College community.
Geoff is a long-standing member of the St Patrick’s community, as a staff member and parent. He has previously held the positions of Director of Mission and Head of Humanities. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma of Education and Master of Arts (Theological Studies), a Master of Philosophy and is undertaking a Doctorate in Philosophy with Notre Dame University Australia (NDUA). Geoff is the current Peter Faber Fellow for Lonergan Studies.
Jarrett is an experienced Physical Education and Health Sciences teacher who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Ballarat. Over his 14 years at St Patrick’s College, he has held a variety of roles, including Pastoral Care teacher, Head of Health and Physical Education, Director of Students, and coach of the First XVIII Football Team.
In his role as Assistant Principal – Pastoral Care and Wellbeing, Jarrett is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. His professional experience includes serving as a VCAA assessor and completing mental health first aid training, further enhancing his ability to support the wellbeing of students and staff. Jarrett’s leadership reflects the College’s dedication to excellence and holistic education.
James joined St Patrick’s College in 2023 after 14 years at the helm of boarding at St Francis de Sales Regional College in Leeton, NSW. Inspired by his own education at St Francis and the Marist Brothers who encouraged him to be the best person he could be for the greater good, James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to SPC.
James has a strong connection to boarding at St Patrick’s College, with his own sons having boarded at the College between 2011 and 2016. He is passionate about nurturing the mind, body and spirit of students, and works collaboratively with the boarding team to create a supportive atmosphere for young men to grow and thrive.
