We are saddened to learn of the passing of Br Brian Brandon cfc on September 24, 2021 aged 83 years. Br Brian was well known to St Patrick’s College and served as a member of the College Board, representing the Christian Brothers, in 2003.
The Board members during 2003 were: Dr Peter Casey, Headmaster, who acts as the Executive Officer of the Board; Mr Rob Brennan, Deputy Headmaster and ex officio member; Br Brian Brandon, nominee of the Christian Brothers Education Commission; Mr Andrew Byrne; Mr Dennis Foley; Ms Helen Goode; Ms Lyn Gordon; Ms Trudi Kannourakis; Mr Ron Morrison; Mr Frank Nolan; Mr Noel Ronan; Dr Jeff Stewart; and Dr John Nicholson, as Chair.
As well, Br Brian was Principal of two Christian Brothers’ schools – St Kevin’s in Toorak and St Patrick’s College in Launceston. Br Brian was also a member of the Province Leadership Team for many years. Br Brian was a highly respected member of the Christian Brothers. His funeral was held on October 1.
