2016 Ireland Tour – Arrival
March 24, 2016
Good evening all from Dublin,
After a marathon journey which stretched more than 35 hours we have managed to all arrive safely and in one piece in Dublin, Ireland.
We are proud to report that all our students behaved impeccably during long waits at customs and during the very long and tiring flights and this behavior drew wide acclaim from airline staff at all stages.
There were a couple of minor hiccups along the way (airline’s fault) which is only to be expected when managing such a mammoth touring party but, thanks to the invaluable expertise of our tour organiser Leonie Spencer from Lifestyle Travel Ballarat, and to the maturity of our students, all hurdles were overcome with a persistent smile.
We have now settled into our accommodation for the next two nights after enjoying a great meal out at a local Italian restaurant and the boys are looking forward to seeing some of the sights of Dublin tomorrow morning before having a training run tomorrow afternoon ahead of their first game on Saturday.
Due to the exhaustion many of the touring party are feeling, we’ll keep this update brief for tonight but we will plan on providing many more details of our journey in the days and weeks ahead.
We wish everyone back home a great Easter.
