2020 General Achievement Test (GAT) Preparation
September 18, 2020
The GAT is a test used for statistical moderation of a student’s end of year results and will be used as part of the ‘consideration of educational disadvantage’ process this year. It is vitally important that VCE Units 3/4 students have a clear understanding of the assessment requirements of the GAT and that test responses reflect their best efforts. To support our VCE Units 3/4 students in their preparation for the GAT we have created a webpage with instructional videos, practice tasks as well as tips and tricks from a GAT assessor, our Senior School teacher Ms Sarah Slater. Students are also strongly encouraged to do the 2018 GAT Writing Tasks One and Two to practise their writing skills. In order to receive feedback on these, they will need to be done at home in the first week of the holidays and returned to the College reception before 3.30pm on Friday, September 25. Further details can be found on the GAT preparation webpage here.
The page will be regularly updated to reflect the most current GAT arrangements.
