College update on COVID-19
February 12, 2021
Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians of St Patrick’s College,
Following today’s announcement by the State Government, St Patrick’s College will be closed from midnight tonight until midnight on Wednesday, February 17.
During this time, the College will offer limited flexible and remote learning for students studying Unit 3 and 4 VCE subjects only. These boys will receive an email from their subject teachers with further instructions.
Students enrolled in external VET programs or TAFE training will commence online learning and should be contacted by their provider.
All other students are encouraged to utilise this time to complete any homework assigned to them and to invest in their own studies.
However, as required by the State Government, the College will provide supervision on these days for vulnerable children and the children of essential workers.
Those who may require supervision include:
- Children on days when they are not able to be supervised at home and no other arrangements can be made. This will be available for children of parents who cannot work from home, and vulnerable children, including:
- children in out-of-home care;
- children deemed by Child Protection and/or Family Services to be at risk of harm;
- children identified by the school as vulnerable (including via referral from a family violence agency, homelessness or youth justice service or mental health or other health service and children with a disability).
Families needing the College to supervise your son must complete the form at this link immediately.
We remain hopeful that classes can resume as normal on Thursday, February 18.
