Deputy Principal Report
May 14, 2021
by Deputy Principal, Mrs Elizabeth Ryan
On May 5, the College celebrated Edmund Rice Day. Following a whole school liturgy celebrated in the O’Malley gym the boys embarked upon the traditional walkathon. Despite torrential rain on the previous day, the weather was perfect. Our students enjoyed the friendship and camaraderie of their mates as they walked Victoria Park and Lake Wendouree in glorious sunshine. Believe it or not I managed to get sunburnt in Ballarat in May. Unheard of!
Upon their return to the College the annual Handball competition was held. The 2021 champions were.
Junior School: Champion Dylan Hiscock
Runner Up: Riley Pritchard
Middle School: Champion Sam Lalor
Runner Up: Gabriel Gallas
Senior School: Champion James Harrington
Runner up Will Cook
Congratulations to all involved. Special thanks to the Student Council for leading the event.
Our Edmund Rice Day Celebrations rounded off with the annual St Pats Has Talent. Once again, I was inspired by our students. Their talents and their capacity to be such a generous audience supporting and encouraging all who performed is admirable and a credit to all Paddy Boys!
