Edward (Ted) Bryan McGrath (SPC 1941-43, PY1946)

We have been notified by his family of the peaceful passing of Edward (Ted) Bryan McGrath (SPC 1941-43, PY1946) on May 17, 2021 aged 93 years.

Edward, affectionately known as Ted, was the devoted husband of Beverley for 62 years and much-loved father and father-in-law of Kerry and Grant, John and Anne, Lucinda and Simon and a cherished grandfather to seven. A Funeral Mass was offered at St Bede’s Catholic Church in Balwyn North on May 21. In tributes, family members remembered Ted’s “entertaining stories”.

Ted was a day student at SPC and completed his intermediate studies.

Ted’s long career as an accountant included diverse roles in senior business management and taxation consultancy. He was a generous man and an active committee member for the St Joseph’s old boys and Nazareth associations for many years. Rest in peace.
