Gerry has contributed substantially to ANZSLA, serving as editor of The Commentator for an impressive 17-year tenure, from 2007 to 2023, overseeing volumes 68 to 116, which encompasses 48 editions.

The Commentator is ANZSLA’s online publication of articles relating to sports law.

The ANZSLA stated Gerry’s “dedication and perseverance in maintaining the publication’s high standards through various challenges is truly commendable”.

“In addition to his editorial role, Gerry has been an invaluable volunteer mentor for ANZSLA’s mentoring program each year since 2020, reflecting his commitment to supporting and guiding fellow members.

“Furthermore, Gerry took the initiative to establish and chair a forum for ANZSLA members in March 2020, at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. This forum provided a crucial platform for members to share information and navigate the unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic.

“Gerry’s contributions to ANZSLA, including his exceptional 17-year tenure as Commentator editor, make him a deserving candidate for ANZSLA Life Membership.”

Well done Gerry!
