John Michael Taffe (SPC 1948)

We have been notified of the passing of John Michael Taffe (SPC 1948) earlier this year on 23 March 2022.

A Requiem Mass was celebrated at St Bernards Catholic Church in Belmont.
John was the loving husband of Bridget and father of Michael, Brian and Paul and grandfather of six and cousin to Michael Taffe (SPC 1960-61, PY1964) and Fr Peter Taffe (SPC 1951-55) (dec).
John’s family resided at Port Fairy and John boarded with his uncle and aunty in Ballarat during his time at SPC. After leaving SPC, John entered the Postmaster-General’s Department (PMG) and was a postmaster in various locations during his career, most recently in Belmont.
