KRC Update – May 11, 2017

Fourteen chess enthusiasts represented St Patrick’s College at the Ballarat Regional Chess Championships hosted by Ballarat and Clarendon College on Wednesday, May 3. Players were allocated 15 minutes each per game and were encouraged to use their time shrewdly.- Chess Kids coaches were on hand to settle any disputes and it was interesting to watch the tiebreaker games. – With tough competition from other schools, the day was full of challenge – a true battle of minds. Congratulations to all the boys for their fine efforts.

The boys are welcome to play chess during recess and lunch in the KRC. – The College is hosting the Ballarat Catholic Diocese Chess Tournament in September so it would be great to have more players on the team.
