In the second week of Term 3 the Melbourne Experience is designed to promote important life skills, such as independence, initiative and responsibility, and provide a real world link to the Year 9 Curriculum.
The Melbourne Experience Objectives include:
· Learn about different aspects of Melbourne
· History, Culture, Arts, Sport, Design and Innovation
· Learn how to use public transport
· How to navigate around the Melbourne CBD
· Develop teamwork and independence skills
· Experience a range of activities across the CBD: Such as
Shrine Tour, NGV Tour, Melbourne Museum to do the TAC Road To Zero experience, The Intersection Homelessness Tour, The Tan, Melbourne Botanical Gardens and the Humanities Investigation Melbourne Walks. Your son should now have a complete timetable for the week and the necessary permission form via PAM needs to be completed.
As always, I hope that all of our boys achieve the success they are busily working towards throughout their first semester in the Middle School.
