Old Boys out in force at Careers Expo

A great crowd turned out for the 2023 SPC Careers Expo at the Old Collegians’ Association Pavilion on Wednesday evening.

Current students and their families flocked to the event for the opportunity to chat to representatives from nearly 100 different employment pathways.

It was also fantastic to see a number of Old Collegians volunteering their time, knowledge and expertise to chat to our young students about their career options, including:

Matthew Callahan (SPC 2006-11), Will Corbett (SPC 2006-11) and Josh Findlay (SPC 2013-18) from RSM Australia Partners; Dan Godson (SPC 2012-14), Blake Breadsell (SPC 2012-17) and James Keyte (SPC 2012-17) from the 8/7 RVR Ranger Barracks; along with Chrisostomos Kollaras (SPC 2013-18) from Ernst Young; Luke Jarvis (SPC 1993-98) from John Wardle Architects; Ben Loughnane (SPC 2013-18) and Ben Plazzer (SPC 1988-91) from HStudios; Tom Bannister (SPC 2010-15) and Jayden Boak (SPC 2010-15) from Kyndryl Australia.

We also welcomed back Eamon Sullivan (SPC 1996-2001) from Mulcahy & Co; Adam Spencer (SPC 2006-11) from The Courier; Sean Duggan (SPC 1986-91) and Josh Gilbert (SPC 2007-2012) from Ambulance Victoria; and Elliott Lamb (SPC 2013-18), Steve Allen (SPC 1997-2002) and Chris Allen (SPC 1999-2004) from Nicholson Construction.

Other Alumni included Chris Torpy (SPC 1989-94) from Preston Rowe Paterson; Tynan Haintz (SPC 2011-16) from BJT Legal; Mat Begbie (SPC 2006-11) from AFL Victoria; Kyle Faulkhead (SPC 2014-19) from Platinum Institute; and Luke Bosworth (SPC 2008-13) and Brady Buttler (SPC 2011-16) from Federation University.
