2020 Pastoral Care Program: Information for Parents

Year 8 Father Son Night – Tuesday March 17

The annual Year 8 Father/Son night will happen on Tuesday March 17, from 6.30pm in the Gymnasium, with break out discussions to occur in the Junior and Middle School classrooms. I would please encourage all Year 8 students to take this opportunity to bond with their father or a significant male mentor in their lives. It is always a wonderful evening, and students who have previously taken part in this program have been highly grateful for the experience. The program is run by the same facilitator as the Year 7 Mother / Son evening, Bill Jennings, from Time and Space.

In the next two weeks, all Year 8 boys will work through a process of inviting a father or male mentor to the night, which will be followed up by an email from me, with registration details. Registration is crucial, as all participants will receive name tags and will be assigned groups for the break out groups. If you would like to register now, the link to register is:

MARCH 17 – Year 8 Father / Son night

  • Event – 6.30pm – 8.00pm

MAY 19 – Year 7 Mother / Son night

  • Venue: Gym
  • Event – 6.30pm – 8.00pm

MAY 21 – Preston Centoulo – Guest speaker

  • Venue: Gym
  • All Year 7, 8 & 9 students to attend
  • During the school day

JULY 27 – Year 7 and 8 Brainstorm Productions

  • Venue: Pavilion
  • Year 7 Session – 9am – 10.30am (Session 2&3)
  • Year 8 – 10.55am – 12.25pm (Session 4&5)

AUGUST 3 – Year 11 Carmen Road Safety

  • Venue: Pavilion
  • 9am – 10.30am (Session 2&3)

I would encourage all students and parents to fully engage and participate in all of our wellbeing programs on offer, as they are an integral element of our broader mission to educate the whole person.
