ACU Debating Cup
This week students from Years 7-10 have competed in the Royal South Street ACU Debating Cup.
For our Year 7 and 8 debaters, this was their very first competitive debate. They should be beyond proud of their efforts, they spoke with confidence and worked well as a group. Our teams went down to some strong opponents but learnt a lot from the experience to apply to their future debates. A big thank you to Mr Nathaniel Winfield for coaching the Year 9 and 10 debaters.

South Street Speech and Drama
We have a range of students competing in the speech and drama events at South Street which starts next week, we wish them the best of luck!
Purton Oratory Competition
The Purton Oratory Comp is SPC’s internal public speaking and debating competition, where students from Years 7-12 are invited to compete in events that demonstrate their speaking skills.
Competition Date: Thursday, 25 August from 9am – 2pm in the KRC.
