Debating Association of Victoria Junior Secondary Program

On Friday, 25 November two Junior School debating teams took part in the Junior Secondary Debating Program run by the Debating Association of Victoria and held at Ballarat Grammar.

This was a fantastic opportunity for our young debaters to take part in two debates, along with training sessions about how best to approach speech structure and rebuttal. The year 8s won both of their debates, and the year 7s won the first, closely losing the second. It was a wonderful way to end a very exciting year in debating.

A huge thank you to all the students who have participated in a co-curricular performing arts program in 2023. My sincere thanks also to the families who have supported their young people in their endeavours. I am thrilled that there are so many wonderful opportunities ahead next year!
