Dear Parents, Guardians, Coaches, Athletes and Friends of the St Patrick’s College Rowing Club, Due to changes in the administration of the club within the school the following changes have been made to upcoming events.- – MELBOURNE HEAD REGATTA – Saturday 19th November Rowers in the Senior 1sts, 2nds, 3rds, and 4ths will be competing in the Melbourne Head Regatta this Saturday. Permission and medical slips were given to boys Wednesday with information regarding this event.- – These will need to be returned ASAP to Ms Stephanie Parsons in order for the boys to attend. – A reminder that all boys need to arrive at the boatshed at 7.15am for a 7.30am departure to Melbourne. Our expected time of arrival back in Ballarat is approximately 6pm. – Senior rowers will be required at the boatshed for a short training session and derigging of the boats on Friday morning from 6am. – BAS REGATTA – Sunday 20th November This event is a WHOLE SHED REGATTA and all of our crews have been entered. Boys who are not currently allocated to a crew or are sharing a seat in a boat with another rower are still required to be in attendance in the event that they need to fill a spot in a boat. – – Any boy who is unavailable for this regatta needs to contact Ms Stephanie Parsons on- sparsons@stpats.vic.edu.au. – ARRIVAL TIMES: Juniors: 7:30am Intermediates: 8:30am Seniors: 9:00am – INTERMEDIATE and Senior 5ths/6ths TRAINING – Saturday 19th November Due to the Melbourne Head Regatta, there will be- NO- training on Saturday for Intermediate or Senior 5th/6th rowers. – TRAINING SCHEDULE – Ongoing Wednesday morning cross training sessions have now finished for the year.- – Crews who have organised training times outside of the official training schedule MAY be asked to revert back to the official schedule due to supervision requirements and resource allocations.- – Coaches who have organised training sessions outside of the official schedule are asked to please contact Ms Stephanie Parsons ASAP on- sparsons@stpats.vic.edu.au. – Finally, we are strongly encouraging all members of the rowing community to join our newly created SPC Rowing Facebook group ASAP as an additional means of communication.
