Welcome to the new St Patrick’s College website.
February 8, 2015
Welcome to the new, device-responsive St Patrick’s College website which we hope offers you a much easier and pleasurable viewing experience.- This new website has been a long time in the making -“ including months of research and planning and countless hours of fine tuning and content creation. We believe it features all the necessary information you may have become accustomed to by visiting this site in the past, now packaged into an easier-to-find and intuitive environment.
The catalyst for the change was the major upsurge in internet access via mobile devices -“ a change our previous website could not handle. Now, you will find that this website automatically configures its display to match the size of the screen you are using -“ either a mobile phone, a tablet, a laptop or a desktop.- Previously accessing stpats.vic.edu.au on a mobile device was virtually impossible. Now, it should be an enjoyable experience.
The structure of the new website has been designed to cater for our specific audiences. The tabs across the top of each page should be seen as their own individual sites within the site. If you are a current parent, student or staff member you should find the information applying to you located under the relevant section. The same applies for Old Collegians, prospective families and members of our boarding community.
Not only does the new site include all the features you know, we have added some new dynamics such as galleries, links to social media accounts, an online calendar, a vastly improved College newsletter and much, much more. Excitingly, even more innovation is planned to follow in the months and years ahead. We understand that with a website so large and so diverse, there may be teething problems during our live launch period. We request you to be patient if problems arise and alert any issues or inconsistencies to the Director of Community Development Mr Paul Nolan who can be contacted at pnolan@stpats.vic.edu.au
