Old Boys in the News – March 2025

Austin Reinehr and Tom Foley with their gold medals in the prestigious King’s Cup at the Nationals.

Our Old Collegians have been in the spotlight, including:

  • Congratulations to Old Collegians Tom Foley (SPC 2017-22) and Austin Reinehr (SPC 2018-21) on their incredible victory with the Victorian state crew in the prestigious King’s Cup at the Nationals! Tom and Austin were key members of our SPC senior rowing crew that claimed the National Schoolboys title at Lake Barrington in Tasmania, in 2021, and it’s fantastic to see them continuing to excel on the national stage. Well done, Tom and Austin!

  • Our U17 rowers also experienced a special moment at the Nationals, “bumping” into Olympian and Old Collegian Anthony Edwards (SPC 1985-90) at Lake Barrington. It seems our boys soaked up some inspiration from one of St Pat’s finest, finishing the fastest U17 school quad in Australia!

Scotty Carlin.
  • Great to see Old Boy Scotty Carlin (SPC 2017-18) recognised for outstanding season by placing runner-up in the recent Nichols Medal count in the Northern Territory footy season. Scott was described as “a damaging, hard-working footballer who can be just as influential off half-back as in the midfield, he has clearly been among the top echelon of players in the NTFL this season”.
