St Patrick’s College has a proud history of participation and on-field success in the sport of cricket.

The College has produced three test cricketers, Leo O’Brien, Jack Hill and Adam Hollioake, as well as a number of past and present Melbourne Premier League cricketers.

The Main Oval plays host to BAS cricket at all year levels here at St Patrick’s College.

A baggy green stands proudly in the display foyer with cricket having always been a staple at the College, now under the guidance of the Director of Cricket Mr Luke Corden.

Students at St Patrick’s College are given a number of opportunities to represent the College in Cricket, from the annual House competition and the Junior Development squad, right through to the respected First XI team.

The junior cricket season commences in Term 1 while the Intermediate and Development squads begin in Term 4. The First XI team begin their season in Term 4, continuing through to the following Term 1.

Tours to Mildura, Launceston and friendlies against Merv Hughes’s led Crusaders are only some of the many experiences our cricketers have here at St Patrick’s College.
