Is this the best birthday cake ever? 
St Patrick’s College was delighted to play a small part in a very big surprise celebration for Old Collegian Adrian McConnell (SPC 1954-57) on November 9.
As part of his 80th birthday celebrations, Adrian’s large extended family arranged a weekend back in Ballarat (driving up from Melbourne in a convoy), surprising him with visits to several local landmarks.
On the Saturday afternoon Adrian’s family further surprised him by coming back to the College where he once boarded, touring him through the old corridors and classrooms, bringing back many happy memories.
We were particularly amazed by the incredible SPC-themed birthday cake the family arranged. Happy birthday Adrian!
